There are many ways you can describe a person.
The color of their hair or skin.
Some will describe a person by the way they live.
"That person is so carefree", "they are consumed with money" and so on.
But if someone had to describe you right now in the season
of your life at this moment what would they say?
Or do they even know you?
For me I am not a very easy person to get to know.
Oh don't get me wrong, I am very friendly and I am outgoing.
But I do have many layers, which I don't always show. Some of the layers have never been seen in many a years.
That is why I have started this blog. This is away for me to open the story that needs to be told.
I know there are others who need to hear my story, the full story.
Today I am a mother, a grandmother and even to my disbelief a pastors wife.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be married to a man who would become a pastor. Nevertheless, here I am today, a pastors wife.
Becoming a follower of Jesus does not mean that one day you just become someone else.
You are still you. The good, the bad, the past, it is all still there.
However now you have been given grace and forgiveness.
Before I knew Christ I was not a horrible person. At least I did not think I was, I thought I was just a person living out my life.
To this day it is still a battle to keep the sinful nature away, but each day it does get easier.
I have some days I feel very close to Jesus and other days I feel that I am no where near Him.
It doesn't mean I don't still love Him or that He has stopped loving me. It just means I am human.
The last 11 years of my life has been amazing. But with life there is always two sides. Yes there has been sadness.
However, the joy over flows and washes out the sadness. My new life started in 2003. Well really it started in 2001 that is when I started my new job . At the time I was living as far north that you could go. How I ended up there and what happened to me there is another part of the story.
I currently live in a small house that is perfect for my small but wonderful family. We are not wealthy by any means. Nevertheless we are always blessed with what is needed. We do spoil ourselves at times eating out, once in a while. Sometimes we go on trips to see our families in other parts of the United States which is how we normally plan a vacation . We always drive where ever we go, primarily due to my husband health conditions . There will be more of those wonderful trips later in the story.
The church we are a part of and our family along with my part time nanny job keeps me quite busy. Which each in itself is a blessing in my life. Then there are the never-ending projects that I always seem to have around the house. That is all for this moment. I will tell you more in days to come. Blessing to all.
